A Guide to DelhiWood for First-Time Exhibitors
Building at the India Expo Mart, Greater Noida: the rules that shape your stand
The India Expo Mart is one of India's largest venues — big, flat, high-clearance halls suited to heavy machinery and tall builds. DelhiWood is largely a raw-space show for machinery, so most builds are full custom, and the machine on them drives the engineering.
Woodworking machines are heavy and produce dust and chips, so floor loading and dust extraction are early calculations: we plan machine positions, base plates and load spread to the venue's limits, plan extraction and chip management for live demos, and coordinate the forklift and rigging to move equipment in safely. Three-phase power is ordered against a declared load through the official contractor ahead of the deadline; late orders attract surcharges. All materials are FR-treated with certificate and fire NOC filed before move-in, and finishing is completed off-site.
Greater Noida logistics are the variable to plan: freight runs roughly 1,400 km by road from our Mumbai facility, and machinery often arrives separately from the manufacturer, so we coordinate two delivery streams — the stand and the machines — into one access window rather than letting them clash on the marshalling yard.
What a winning woodworking-machinery stand needs
The stands that win orders at DelhiWood put the machine first and make the capability legible. We design a stable, well-lit platform for the machine with safe sightlines so a buyer can watch it run, clear signage on the process, output and finish it delivers, and a seated area to talk specification, automation and after-sales support. Where a live cutting, edge-banding or finishing demo runs, we design in the power, dust extraction, chip management and safety guarding it needs.
Capability has to read fast: a furniture manufacturer should grasp what the machine does and for which product before they reach you, so we give the demonstration and the technical data room rather than crowding the stand with generic furniture imagery. For materials, fittings and hardware brands, we design strong product display with a meeting area instead.
Designing for furniture manufacturers and woodworkers
Buyers walk DelhiWood with capital-equipment budgets and capacity gaps, so the stand has to qualify them fast and then talk numbers: a clear statement of the machine's process, output, finish and automation, then a seated conversation about throughput, integration, financing and service. We design the path from the running machine to that conversation, because at a capital-purchase show the demonstration earns the meeting and the meeting earns the order.
We keep the message specific to the application — panel processing, solid wood, edge-banding, CNC, finishing, mattress, surfaces — because a panel-furniture manufacturer and a solid-wood workshop are assessing different things, and a precise capability statement is found far faster than a general one.
What a DelhiWood stand costs
A turnkey SOL stand at DelhiWood runs from ₹1.8 lakh for a focused 9–18 m² Essential presence (for tools, fittings or materials), from ₹4.5 lakh for a 24–48 m² Regular raw-space build with a machine platform and meeting area, and from ₹12 lakh for a 50–100 m²-plus Premium build with multiple machines, a live demo and a hospitality area. The figure is all-inclusive — design, fabrication, graphics, lighting, road freight to Greater Noida, install, dismantle and the venue paperwork — with only the organiser's floor space outside it.
What moves the number is machine floor loading and handling, a live demonstration with three-phase power and dust extraction, and a double-deck or large raw-space build. What you do not pay extra for is flooring, material handling and electrical fit-out — which on a machinery show is exactly where stands get caught out.
Stand sizes and layouts
Stands run from compact 9–18 m² spaces for tools, fittings and materials suppliers up to 100 m²-plus raw-space builds carrying several machines for major builders. The layout puts the running machine where the aisle sees it, keeps safe circulation around moving equipment and extraction, and sets a meeting area slightly back from the noise. Corner and island positions help a machine be seen and approached on a busy, order-focused floor.
Whatever the size, we light and present the machine to show its build quality, because on a capital-equipment floor the finish and presentation of the machine — and the stand around it — are part of how a buyer judges the engineering.
Getting into the India Expo Mart: build-up timing
The India Expo Mart runs a tight build-up and marshalling schedule, and power, handling and extraction book up early. We confirm your build slot, calculate and order three-phase power and extraction through the official contractor before the deadline, plan floor loading and the forklift schedule for machine move-in, and time the Mumbai-to-Greater Noida freight so the stand lands inside its access window — built and ready for the machines to be set and commissioned.
Because machinery and stand often arrive on different trucks, we coordinate both streams into one plan rather than reacting to them separately on build day.
Reusing your stand between editions
Woodworking and furniture brands exhibit at DelhiWood, IndiaWood (the Bengaluru edition in alternate years) and the regional furniture circuit across the cycle, so a modular reusable stand designed around your machine footprints is strong value. We store the core in Mumbai, refresh graphics and technical display for each edition, and keep your power, extraction and handling orders on file — so the next show is a refresh and a re-set of the machines, not a rebuild.
Common mistakes, in order of frequency
- Treating a machinery stand like a graphics stand and under-planning floor loading and power.
- A live wood-processing demo with no dust extraction or safety guarding — a hazard and a mess.
- Letting the machines and the stand arrive uncoordinated and lose hours on the marshalling yard.
- Generic furniture imagery that hides which process and finish the machine delivers.
Getting Started
Send your stand size, your hall and stand number once the organiser has issued it, and a short note on what will physically happen on the stand. You get a 3D design and an itemised all-in quote, at no charge and with no obligation.
