A Guide to IIJS Premiere for First-Time Exhibitors
Building across the Jio World Convention Centre and BEC: the rules that shape your stand
IIJS Premiere spans two venues — the modern Jio World Convention Centre (BKC) and the Bombay Exhibition Centre (Goregaon), with frequent shuttles between them. Working across both can mean two build-up schedules, contractors and access windows, so the venue and hall you're allocated shape the plan, and we design to the specific space.
A jewellery stand carries specific requirements: secure, lockable display cases and storage for valuable stock, jewel-quality lighting that shows gemstones and metal truthfully, and controlled access where needed. Power is sanctioned through each venue's official electrical contractor against a declared load, ordered ahead to avoid peak-build surcharges; all materials are FR-treated with certificate and fire NOC filed before move-in; finishing is completed off-site; and two-storey builds need a structural-stability certificate. The IGJME machinery section adds floor-loading and power needs for equipment exhibitors.
The home-ground advantage is real and valuable on a two-venue Mumbai show: our workshop is minutes from both venues, so there is no long road freight, crating is shorter, we can coordinate two access windows as one plan, and we can react fast during build-up — a genuine cost and reliability edge.
What a winning jewellery stand needs
The stands that win at IIJS Premiere are premium, secure and beautifully lit. We design jewel-quality lighting tuned to show diamonds, gemstones and gold truthfully — lighting does more for a jewellery stand than anything else — with secure, lockable display cases, discreet storage for valuable stock, and a luxurious, brand-appropriate finish. A comfortable, semi-private hosting area lets a buyer sit, view pieces and negotiate.
Security and presentation are inseparable here: we design lockable, well-lit cases that protect stock without hiding it, and we keep the stand elegant and uncluttered, because a jewellery buyer reads the quality of your brand from the quality of the setting. For IGJME machinery exhibitors, we design equipment display with floor loading and a meeting area instead.
Designing for retailers, wholesalers and exporters
Buyers walk IIJS Premiere with order books and sourcing mandates, so the stand has to present the collection and host the order: jewel-lit display of your pieces, secure viewing, then a comfortable, semi-private conversation about designs, pricing, volumes and delivery. We design the path from the showcase to that conversation, because at an order-and-relationship show the presentation earns the meeting and the meeting earns the order.
We keep the message and the display specific to your segment — diamond, gold, gemstone, fashion, machinery — because a fine-jewellery retailer and a wholesale exporter view differently, and a focused, beautifully presented collection is engaged with far faster than a crowded one on a vast floor.
What an IIJS Premiere stand costs
A turnkey SOL stand at IIJS Premiere runs from ₹1.8 lakh for a focused 9–18 m² Essential presence, from ₹4.5 lakh for a 24–48 m² Regular build with premium display, secure cases and a hosting area, and from ₹12 lakh for a 50–100 m²-plus Premium island, double-deck or flagship build. The figure is all-inclusive — design, fabrication, graphics, jewel-quality lighting, delivery within Mumbai, install, dismantle and each venue's paperwork — with only the organiser's floor rental outside it.
What moves the number is the level of finish and lighting, the number of secure display cases, a private viewing room, or a double-deck lounge. What you do not pay extra for is flooring, material handling and electrical fit-out — and because this is our home venue, you also save the freight an out-of-Mumbai builder would add.
Stand sizes and layouts
Stands run from compact 9–18 m² spaces for individual jewellers to 100 m²-plus islands and double-deckers for major houses, with the IGJME section carrying machinery builds. The layout leads with jewel-lit display where the aisle sees it, keeps secure viewing and storage discreet, and sets a hosting area for the order conversation. Corner and island positions, beautifully lit, help a brand stand out on a vast, premium floor.
Whatever the size, we finish and light the stand to a luxury standard, because on a jewellery floor the elegance and lighting of the setting are read directly as the quality of the brand.
Getting into the venues: build-up timing
Each venue runs its own tight build-up and access schedule for a show this large, and services book up early in the August window. We confirm your build slot, coordinate the relevant venue's contractor for power, plan secure display and lighting, and — because we're local — schedule short, reliable deliveries so both stands land finished, secure and ready for the first buyer.
For brands exhibiting across both venues, we run the builds and access windows as a single coordinated plan, and being Mumbai-based we can move between the two during build-up far more easily than an out-of-town builder.
Reusing your stand between editions
Jewellery brands exhibit at IIJS Premiere, IIJS Signature, IIJS Tritiya and the regional jewellery circuit across the year, so a modular reusable stand with re-deployable secure display is strong value. We store the core in Mumbai, refresh graphics, display and lighting for each edition, and keep your venue and contractor orders on file — so the next show is a refresh, not a rebuild.
Common mistakes, in order of frequency
- Flat, generic lighting that dulls diamonds and gold on a jewellery stand.
- Display that isn't secure for valuable stock, or security so heavy it hides the product.
- A cluttered stand on a floor where buyers read quality from elegant, uncluttered presentation.
- Treating a two-venue presence as one build and missing an access window.
