A Guide to Indus Food for First-Time Exhibitors
Building at the India Expo Centre & Mart, Greater Noida: the rules that shape your stand
The India Expo Centre & Mart is one of India's largest venues — big, flat halls with good height and a tightly run marshalling discipline. Two-side-open and island positions build to generous height; two-storey builds need a structural-stability certificate from a licensed engineer, submitted ahead of the show.
A food stand needs a hygienic tasting or sampling point with the right utilities, often chilled or ambient storage for samples, and secure stock storage. Power is sanctioned through the official electrical contractor against a declared load, ordered early to avoid peak-build surcharges. All materials are FR-treated with certificate and fire NOC filed before move-in, and finishing is completed off-site because in-hall fabrication is limited.
Greater Noida logistics are tight in peak season. Freight runs roughly 1,400 km by road from our Mumbai facility, so crating and convoy timing decide your build week; we schedule to land the stand inside its access window rather than queue in the yard.
What a winning food-export stand needs
The stands that win export orders at Indus Food look reliable to an international buyer. We design clean, well-lit product and brand display, a hygienic tasting or sampling point where the category calls for it, visible export certifications (FSSAI, HACCP, ISO, organic, halal as applicable) and clear origin and capability messaging, and comfortable meeting space for the negotiation.
We keep the message specific to your category and target market — spices, grains, packaged foods, beverages, dairy, organic — because a Gulf importer and an ASEAN retail buyer source differently, and a clean, market-aware, export-ready product story lands far harder than a general 'Indian food' one on a hosted-buyer floor.
Designing for international importers and distributors
Hosted buyers walk Indus Food with import mandates and scheduled meetings, so the stand has to present the product and then host the negotiation: a clean tasting and clear export credentials, then a conversation about pricing, MOQ, shelf-life, labelling, certification and supply reliability. We design the path from the product to that conversation, because at a hosted-buyer show the meeting is already booked — the stand's job is to make it convert.
We keep the message market-aware, because import requirements differ across the Gulf, Europe, Africa, ASEAN and the Americas, and a precise, market-specific presentation is engaged with far faster than a generic one.
What an Indus Food stand costs
A turnkey SOL stand at Indus Food runs from ₹1.8 lakh for a focused 9–18 m² Essential presence, from ₹4.5 lakh for a 24–48 m² Regular build with a tasting point and meeting space, and from ₹12 lakh for a 50–100 m²-plus Premium island or pavilion build. The figure is all-inclusive — design, fabrication, graphics, lighting, road freight to Greater Noida, install, dismantle and the venue paperwork — with only the organiser's floor rental outside it.
What moves the number is a full tasting point with chilled storage, premium finish for an international audience, or a large pavilion build. What you do not pay extra for is flooring, material handling and electrical fit-out — those sit inside the turnkey figure.
Stand sizes and layouts
Stands run from compact 9–18 m² spaces for single exporters to 100 m²-plus islands and state or cluster pavilions. The layout leads with clean product and brand display where the aisle sees it, keeps a hygienic tasting point accessible, and sets meeting space for the negotiation — which matters more here than on a walk-up floor, because meetings are pre-scheduled. Corner and island positions help a brand be found.
Whatever the size, we present and light product to look export-ready and premium, because on a hosted-buyer floor the presentation of the product is read directly as the reliability of the supplier.
Getting into Greater Noida: build-up timing
The India Expo Centre & Mart runs a tight build-up and marshalling schedule, and services book up early. We confirm your build slot, order power and any chilling through the official contractor before the deadline, plan the tasting point and sample storage, and time the Mumbai-to-Greater Noida freight so the stand lands inside its access window — finished and ready for the first hosted buyer.
With a ~1,400 km road leg and a packed hall, we build the freight and access plan in from day one rather than on move-in week.
Reusing your stand between editions
Food exporters exhibit at Indus Food, AAHAR, Annapoorna and the international sourcing circuit across the year, so a modular reusable stand with a re-deployable tasting point is strong value. We store the core in Mumbai, refresh graphics and product display for each edition, and keep your power and chilling orders on file — so the next edition is a refresh, not a rebuild.
Common mistakes, in order of frequency
- A domestic-looking stand that doesn't read as export-ready to a foreign importer.
- Burying export certifications an international buyer is actively looking for.
- Too little meeting space at a hosted-buyer show where meetings are pre-booked.
- Forgetting chilled storage or hygiene for tasting samples.
