A Guide to MEWA India for First-Time Exhibitors
Building at the Jio World Convention Centre, BKC: the rules that shape your stand
The Jio World Convention Centre is a modern, premium venue in BKC with high finish expectations and its own access and technical discipline. Hall configurations and rigging options are specific to the venue, so we design to the allocated space and its rules rather than a generic assumption — and finish standards here are higher than a general exhibition hall.
A nuts and dry-fruits stand has particular needs: display that shows product grade, size and colour truthfully under honest lighting, a hygienic tasting point, secure storage for samples and stock, and often ambient or chilled storage to keep product in condition across three days. Power is sanctioned through the venue's official electrical contractor against a declared load, ordered early to avoid peak-build surcharges. All materials are FR-treated with certificate and fire NOC filed before move-in, and finishing is completed off-site.
The home-ground advantage is real: our workshop is minutes from BKC, so there is no long road freight, crating is shorter, and we can react fast during build-up and dress a clean, well-lit product display and tasting point carefully — a genuine cost and reliability edge at a premium venue.
What a winning nuts and dry-fruits stand needs
The stands that win contracts at MEWA India let buyers inspect and taste. We design clean, well-lit product display where grade, size, colour and condition read truthfully — honest lighting matters, because a buyer judges quality by eye before the taste — a hygienic tasting point with proper sample handling and storage, visible origin and certification cues, and comfortable meeting space for the volume and price negotiation.
We keep the message specific to your product and origin — almonds, cashews, dates, raisins, processed and value-added — because an importer sourcing container volumes and a retail buyer building a range assess differently, and a clean, inspectable, origin-clear product story lands far harder than a general 'dry fruits' one on a trading floor.
Designing for importers, traders and retail buyers
Buyers walk MEWA India with volume, listing and trading mandates, so the stand has to present the product for inspection and tasting and then host the negotiation: honest display and a clean taste, then a conversation about grade, tonnage, price, packing, shelf-life and supply reliability. We design the path from the product to that conversation, because at a trading show the physical product earns the meeting and the meeting earns the contract.
We keep the message specific to your origin and grade, because trading relationships turn on consistency and reliability, and a precise, well-presented, origin-clear offer is engaged with far faster than a generic one.
What a MEWA India stand costs
A turnkey SOL stand at MEWA India runs from ₹1.8 lakh for a focused 9–18 m² Essential presence, from ₹4.5 lakh for a 24–48 m² Regular build with product display, a tasting point and meeting space, and from ₹12 lakh for a 50–100 m²-plus Premium island or origin-pavilion build. The figure is all-inclusive — design, fabrication, graphics, lighting, delivery within Mumbai, install, dismantle and the venue paperwork — with only the organiser's floor rental outside it.
What moves the number is a full tasting point with chilled or ambient sample storage, premium finish to the venue's standard, or a large origin-pavilion build. What you do not pay extra for is flooring, material handling and electrical fit-out — and because this is our home venue, you also save the freight an out-of-Mumbai builder would add.
Stand sizes and layouts
Stands run from compact 9–18 m² spaces for individual traders and processors to 100 m²-plus islands and origin or country pavilions. The layout leads with honest, well-lit product display where the aisle sees it, keeps a hygienic tasting point accessible, and sets comfortable meeting space for the trading negotiation. Corner and island positions help a supplier be found on a relationship-driven floor.
Whatever the size, we light product to show grade and colour truthfully rather than flatter it, because on a trading floor a buyer who feels the lighting oversold the product will not come back — and honest presentation is itself a reliability signal.
Getting into the Jio World Convention Centre: build-up timing
The venue runs a tight, premium build-up schedule, and services book up early. We confirm your build slot, order power and any chilling through the venue contractor before the deadline, plan the tasting point and sample storage, and — because we're local — schedule a short, reliable delivery so the stand lands dressed, lit and stocked, with product in condition for the first buyer.
Being Mumbai-based, we can dress a product display and set a clean tasting point carefully during build-up in a way an out-of-town builder can't — and keep product in condition rather than shipping it long-distance with the stand.
Reusing your stand between editions
Nuts and dry-fruits traders exhibit at MEWA India, AAHAR, Annapoorna, Indus Food and the international sourcing circuit across the year, so a modular reusable stand with a re-deployable tasting point and display is strong value. We store the core in Mumbai, refresh graphics and product display for each edition, and keep your power and chilling orders on file — so the next edition is a refresh, not a rebuild.
Common mistakes, in order of frequency
- Lighting that flatters the product and undermines trust with an inspecting buyer.
- No hygienic tasting point, or samples that degrade over a three-day show.
- An un-premium stand at a premium venue like the Jio World Convention Centre.
- No meeting space for the volume-and-price negotiation on a trading floor.
