A Guide to Secutech India for First-Time Exhibitors
Building at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Goregaon: the rules that shape your stand
The BEC (NESCO) is Mumbai's principal venue — a multi-hall complex on the Western Express Highway with its own access and marshalling discipline. Hall heights and column grids vary by hall, so we design to the specific hall rather than a generic assumption.
Security stands are AV- and power-aware: screen walls, camera arrays, displays and live demos draw real load, so we calculate and order power through the official electrical contractor early — late orders attract peak-build surcharges — and plan data and connectivity for the demos. Rigging for screens and cameras, where permitted, goes through the appointed agency; all materials are FR-treated with certificate and fire NOC filed before move-in; finishing is completed off-site; and two-storey builds need a structural-stability certificate.
The home-ground advantage is real: our workshop is minutes from the BEC, so there is no long road freight, crating is shorter, and we can react fast during build-up — a genuine cost and reliability edge, and especially useful when an AV-heavy demo stand needs careful setup and testing.
What a winning security and fire-safety stand needs
The stands that win at Secutech India make the technology work in front of the buyer. We design demo zones with working cameras, screen walls showing live feeds, access and detection demonstrations, and clean, well-lit display — engineered for the AV, connectivity and power loads they carry — plus a meeting area for the integration-and-project conversation. The build quality should match a serious security brand, because reliability is the product and a flimsy stand undercuts it.
We keep the demo legible and the message specific to your domain — video, access, perimeter, fire detection, integration — because an integrator and a facility end-user are scanning for different proof, and a precise working demonstration lands far harder than a general 'security solutions' panel.
Designing for integrators, consultants and facility buyers
Buyers walk Secutech India with security projects and integration requirements, so the stand has to qualify them fast and then host the conversation: a clear statement of your capability and integration, a demonstration that proves it, then a seated conversation about specification, integration, compliance and service. We design the path from the demo to that conversation, because at a project-and-integration show the demonstration earns the meeting and the meeting earns the project.
We keep the message specific to your part of the security stack, because a video-surveillance buyer and a fire-detection buyer want different proof, and a precise capability statement is found far faster than a general one on a busy floor.
What a Secutech India stand costs
A turnkey SOL stand at Secutech India runs from ₹1.8 lakh for a focused 9–18 m² Essential presence, from ₹4.5 lakh for a 24–48 m² Regular build with a demo zone and meeting area, and from ₹12 lakh for a 50–100 m²-plus Premium experiential, screen-wall or double-deck build. The figure is all-inclusive — design, fabrication, graphics, lighting, delivery within Mumbai, install, dismantle and the venue paperwork — with only the organiser's floor rental outside it.
What moves the number is AV and screen-wall scale, live camera and access demos, connectivity, and a double-deck or large experiential build. What you do not pay extra for is flooring, material handling and electrical fit-out — and because this is our home venue, you also save the freight an out-of-Mumbai builder would add.
Stand sizes and layouts
Stands run from compact 9–18 m² spaces for component and software suppliers to 100 m²-plus experiential islands and double-deckers for surveillance, access and integrated-security majors. The layout balances a demo-led front with a meeting zone, and on an AV-heavy floor we plan cable management, heat and connectivity into the design. Corner and island positions help a demo build be seen on a busy floor.
Whatever the size, we build and finish to a serious-tech standard and light it well, because on a security floor the production value of the stand is read as a proxy for the reliability of the technology.
Getting into the BEC: build-up timing
The BEC runs a tight build-up and dock schedule, and power, rigging and AV slots book up early. We confirm your build slot, calculate and order the AV and power load through the venue contractor before the deadline, plan rigging and connectivity for screens and cameras, and — because we're local — schedule a short, reliable delivery so the stand lands and the demos are commissioned and tested in good time.
Because a demo-led build adds AV commissioning, being Mumbai-based lets us plan and run that testing without the time pressure a long freight would add.
Reusing your stand between editions
Security brands exhibit at Secutech India, IFSEC India and the regional security circuit across the year, so a modular reusable stand with re-deployable AV and demo fixtures is strong value. We store the core in Mumbai, refresh graphics, demo content and screen layouts for each edition, and keep your AV, power and connectivity orders on file — so the next show is a refresh, not a rebuild.
Common mistakes, in order of frequency
- A static, slides-only stand on a floor where buyers expect to see the system working.
- Under-ordering AV and power load and scrambling on build day.
- No meeting area for the integration-and-project conversation.
- Generic 'security solutions' messaging that hides which part of the stack you serve.
Getting Started
Send your stand size, your hall and stand number once the organiser has issued it, and a short note on what will physically happen on the stand. You get a 3D design and an itemised all-in quote, at no charge and with no obligation.
